Sterling Oil Exploration & Energy Production Company (SEEPCO), through its SEEPCO Smile initiative, added excitement to the Nigeria Environment Outlook 2025, as 25 participants benefited from its sustainability drive, which spanned education, health, sports, sustainable livelihoods, and empowerment.

Advisors Reports gathered that the SEEPCO Smile initiative is a global sustainability campaign with the vision of “bringing smiles with each barrel and a breath of pen”.

The event, organised by Environment Africa Magazine, held on Friday, October 17, 2025, at the VCP Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, brought together top government officials, business leaders, sustainability experts, and environmental advocates to discuss Nigeria’s path toward a greener and more sustainable future.

As part of its intervention initiative, SEEPCO, during the event, sponsored an interactive “Lucky Dip and Internet Engagement” activity designed to encourage participants to engage with environmental sustainability content through digital platforms.

A total of 25 participants, out of the many who took part in the raffle draw by scanning unique barcodes during the conference, emerged as winners and went home with various consolation prizes courtesy of SEEPCO.

Mr. Aveek Biswas, Head of Corporate Communications at SEEPCO, spoke about the company’s SEEPCO Smile initiative, describing it as a global sustainability campaign with the vision of “bringing smiles with each barrel and a breath of pen.”

According to him, the campaign’s objective is to implement initiatives that not only bring smiles to people but also create a lasting impact by transforming lives.

He noted that SEEPCO’s sustainability approach cuts across several key areas, including education, health, sports, sustainable livelihoods, and empowerment.

As part of the day’s highlights, winners of the raffle draw went home with various branded items such as fluffy neck braces, embossed mugs, eco-friendly water flasks, and colourful pens, among others.

The gesture underscored SEEPCO’s commitment to promoting environmental awareness and supporting interactive participation in national sustainability dialogues.
