NNPCL refutes separate recruitment claims for Port Harcourt refinery

… confirms ongoing recruitment process covers all businesses, interview begin this week

Oredola Adeola

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has clarified that there is no separate recruitment process for the Port Harcourt Refinery other than the one which started last year, disclaiming purported recruitment announcement for the Port Harcourt Refining Company (PHRC).

Olufemi Soneye, Chief Corporate Communications Officer NNPC Ltd. made this known in a statement obtained by Advisors Reports on Friday.

According to him, the recruitment processes which started last year, also includes all NNPC Ltd.’s businesses, with successful candidates at the Computer-Based Aptitude Test proceeding for the interview stage this week.

He said, “The purported recruitment link being circulated in various online platforms is the handiwork of fraudsters who are keen on taking advantage of the newly revamped Port Harcourt Refinery to fleece unsuspecting members of the public with a phantom recruitment announcement.

The NNPC has therefore called on members of the public to be wary of the ploy and not fall for it.

Recall that Mele Kyari, GCEO NNPC Ltd. in a recent statement assured prospective hires in the ongoing recruitment processes of transparency, highlighting company’s commitment to excellence and inclusivity.
