Fuel scarcity: MEMAN floods Nigeria with over 300million litres of petrol from 8 vessels
… says scarcity will end few days

The Major Energies Marketers Association of Nigeria (MEMAN) has revealed that the association’s members in Apapa and other locations in Lagos are currently taking delivery of Premium Motor Spirit (petrol) from 8 vessels this week, totaling over 300 million liters – well above the normal levels.
He has emphatically assured that the ongoing fuel scarcity and queues in Nigeria will not last more than two weeks, contrary to speculations, and has assured the public that there is an adequate supply of the product.
Mr. Huub Stokman, the Chairman of MEMAN, speaking during a virtual press conference on Tuesday, which was monitored by Advisors Reports.
Advisors Reports’ check showed that the members of MEMAN include 11 Plc, Conoil Plc, Ardova Plc, MRS Oil Nigeria Plc, OVH Energy Marketing Limited, Total Nigeria Plc, and NNPC Retail.
In a bid to address the widespread frustration and challenges faced by Nigerians amidst the fuel scarcity crisis, Stokman, Managing Director of NNPC Retail Ltd, further disclosed that the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) and other crucial stakeholders in the supply chain are actively collaborating to swiftly resolve the situation.
He said, “Our top priority is to restore stability and ensure that fuel supplies reach all depots and retail outlets across Nigeria promptly.
“While the current situation has been challenging, we want to reassure the public that there is an adequate supply of PMS available.
