EKEDC Band A feeders increase to 75, as NERC approves 21 new 33kV feeders

Oredola Adeola

The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) has approved the addition of twenty-one (21) 33kV feeders to Eko Electricity Distribution Company’s (EKEDC) Band A feeders list, thereby increasing the total number of feeders in this category from the previous fifty-four (54) to seventy-five (75).

This move is in compliance with the Commission’s April Supplementary Order to the Multi-Year Tariff Order 2024, which mandates a minimum of 20 hours of daily power supply for Band A customers.

Babatunde Lasaki, General Manager, Corporate Communications of EKEDC made this known in a statement obtained by Advisors Reports on Tuesday.

According to him, the migration of the additional feeders to the Band A service category is a testament to EKEDC ‘s consistent service performance.

Lasaki further added that the addition of 21 more Feeders complies with the Service Level Agreement (SLA).

Advisors Reports gathered that the 21 new feeders spread across various districts, including the Islands, Ajah, Apapa, Ijora, Lekki, Mushin, Agbara, Ojo, Festac, Orile, and Ajele Districts.
